A focused security utility that checks a password against known breach data and turns the result into clear, immediate guidance.
The idea
A security check with a clear answer.
Reusing a compromised password can put several accounts at risk, but finding out whether one has appeared in a breach should be quick. Breach Guard provides a small desktop interface for running that check without navigating through a larger security tool.
The Python application hashes the password and checks it against the Have I Been Pwned password dataset. It then reports whether a match was found and, when needed, prompts the user to replace the exposed password.
